The Mr Beer Brewmaster was brought under our attention by a person who found we had a showed a favor to the Coopers Microbrewery. And to be honest he was right, we have not looked seriously at the Mr Beer Brewmaster kit because it looked like a big toy only suitable as a gift to someone you do not like. The price of this Mr Beer Brewmaster is the same as the Coopers Microbrewery $99,99 but is it just as good?
The Mr Beer Brewmaster promises you to brew 2 gallons of great tasting beer in as little as 14 days, at a fraction of the cost. The promise it is easy to brew, you can brew many different types of flavors and the Mr Beer Brewmaster is easy to clean they say, but do they keep their promise?
- Yes it is easy to brew
- Yes it is easy to clean
- Yes you end up with two gallons of beer
- Yes you can make different types of beer (we tried a lager and a white beer)
- Yes one batch (2 gallon) will cost you much less then when you buy it in the shop (although you need to brew more then one batch)
- And last but not least you can make a decent taste of beer with the Mr Beer Brewmaster
I still think you pay to much for stupid marketing stuff like a Baseball Cap, T-Shirt and 2 Pint Glasses with MrBeer logo, and the fermenter still looks like a big toy but I can only honestly say that it does make a great gift for beginning brewers, and for people who are not interested in brewing larger batches. If you follow instructions it is an easy and a fun activity and your friends will be amazed by what you have created with the
