After brewing our own beers for years, testing and tasting many different beer kits there are just a few beer kits that are produced we can recommend. In this review we will look at the beer kits from Coopers because they have in our opinion the best solutions and the best tasting beer kits.
The beer kits from Coopers are the basis for making your own tasty beer you can use them with their also excellent microbrewery system and produce 6 gallons of great tasting beer in one batch. There are 16 different beer kits:

- Dark Ale
- Australian Pale Ale
- European Lager
- Canadian Blonde
- Mexican Cerveza
- Pilsener
- IPA (India Pale Ale)
- Wheat Beer
- Irish Stout
- Heritage Lager
- Traditional Draught
- Sparkling Ale
- Sparkling Ale
- Australian Bitter
All Beer Kits from Coopers come with malt, hops and yeast. But all beer kits do require an additional 1kg (2.2 lb) of fermentables. If you want to take the guesswork out of these beer kits you can also buy beer kit packages from Coopers because they include the beer kit, yeast, recommended fermentables and carbonation drops.
The kit was easy to use, just pre heat the malt extract in the thin in a bucket with hot water to make it softer, add 1 kg of brewing sugar and prescribed amount of just off of a boil water. Mix it well and add cold water to the fermenter and mix it again, then check the temperature and at the prescribed temperature add the yeast to the fermenter.
The fermentation was completed in 5 days, then bottled with carbonation drops (great invention) and after a week the beer was ready. We where having some beer loving friends over and at the end we agreed that it was a very tasty and perfect beer for every day use. Nothing special (we had the lager beer kit) but just a good beer. In another article we will go over the beer brewing math, the price of these beer brewing kits per bottle and that it is much cheaper then buying beer in the shops. So not only do these beer kits create beer that taste excellent you can also safe some money.
The beer kits or packages from Coopers are great to use in their also excellent microbrewery kit on which we will write a review later on this site.
